Rodeo parade, Tyler and Megan's bday, Reno Rodeo

I love having Saturday's off because so many different events are going on. Today I was looking for something free to do so I decided to take Brielle downtown to watch the Reno Rodeo parade. I don't recall ever going to this parade so it was a first for the both of us. I typically don't like doing things by myself so I was really proud of myself that I actually went. We had a really good time and it was entertaining. There were some free goodies such as candy and toys. Brielle walked away with some candy, piggy bank and a balloon. I am not use to the warm weather yet because I totally forgot to put sunscreen on either one of us. It was getting pretty warm and I was really nervous we were getting burnt so we left a little early.

We rushed home so I could feed Brielle and put her down for a nap before Tyler's birthday party. She ended up taking a longer nap than I anticipated and we were late for the party. We caught the best part-opening of present and the pinata however Brielle didn't want anything to do with and headed outside to play in the water.

Zach really wanted a large slip and slide so be brought in some dirt and layed down plastic and put dish soap on it. It looked like it was a lot of fun.

Brielle did participate in the pinata and liked the candy she gathered

After the guest left the party some of the Taylor's hung around to play and were awaiting for the next birthday we were going to celebrate-Megan's.

We weren't too sure if Chucky Cheese was going to be an option on a Saturday night and we were going to use my house as a plan B. However much to our surprise there weren't very many people and we were able to get enough tables for everyone. I was super grateful because on our way there Corrine called and invited us to go to the Rodeo. We couldn't pass up the invite and were so excited to be going.
We had a good time playing with all the cousins on the toys. Matt took Megan over to Toys R Us and had her pick out a present (and a pair of pants for Brielle so she could stay warm during the rodeo). We had pizza for dinner, sang her happy birthday and headed off to the Rodeo

I love this age because you don't really have to pay for the game and they think they are playing.

We tried to get all the cousins together for a picture. This is the best we could do however Autumn didn't make it in the picture.

This is the first year we weren't really prepared to go to the Rodeo. Luckily we had a blanket, jacket and some other random clothes in the truck. Don and Corrine had to attend a stake conference meeting so we were going to be meeting up with Sam and Seth. We waited for some time at the front entrance and we never saw them. Finally I had Matt call and we discovered we were at two different entrances. We tried to give Sam directions but it was difficult because he didn't know the surrounds very well. After some time we were able to connect. It was the first time we have attended and had the privilege to sit in the front row. We ended up having dirt hit us a couple times and Brielle enjoyed playing on the rail and was able to pet a horse. It was so fun to be there, the only downer was once the sun went down the wind picked up and it was DANG cold. In fact we cranked up the heat once we reached the truck. Thank you Don and Corrine for thinking of us. We love going!
