fish spawn

Today we decided to do something different. I have always heard Julie talk about watching the Salmon go up the river but I have never gone. We were looking for something to do on Matt's day off and we decided to go see the Salmon spawn up in Tahoe.
Matt said they use to go on field trips and come up. I wondered why we didn't ever come?
It was pretty interesting to see. The water was SUPER shallow in some areas and the fish were sticking out of the water. There were hundreds of Salmon and the higher you moved up stream the more dead ones we saw.
Matt watched one flop itself over rocks trying to go up stream.
We met up with Matt's parents and had lunch. The weather was perfect....a little overcast but no rain (not until after we left). Shortly after we left Matt's parents called and said we missed a bear eating the fish. Bummer deal.

Too bad we couldn't catch them cause they were within hands reach.

Since we started doing tummy time with Miles, Brielle thinks it's pretty funny to do tummy time.
