Las Vegas Baby!

My mom taught the Smith family forever, they were one of her first students and she taught all the kids. The youngest child was Bethany. Her mom and my mom were pregnant together with us. We were super close growing up, and played soccer together for many years. As we grew older our friendship grew apart but we would always keep track of each other. This weekend was her wedding and we were invited. We thought we better go since it was the last of the Smith girls to be married. Aunt Joan and Uncle Ray were really nice and allowed us to stay with them. Brielle did fantastic traveling and she even went to bed without us!!

The wedding wasn't until Saturday evening so we spent the day with family. The morning consisted of Bryce's home that contains amazing Silver War artifacts, we had lunch and then headed over to Brent Ross's home where many of his children gather for the visit.

Brielle wasn't too sure of Curtis.

Brielle LOVES animals. This cat wasn't too friendly so we had to be careful. Brielle couldn't get enough of the cat.

Brielle and Trevor's kid, Craig.

Doesn't matter where we are if there is a dog around she is happy. Luckily this dog was so kind to let Brielle play with it for a couple of hours.
Since we had a packed day Saturday Brielle didn't get a good nap. She did sleep during lunch but that was it. I was REALLY nervous how she was going to be for the wedding. I should have known, people plus music equals her element and it doesn't matter how tired she is. The wedding ceremony itself was a little challenging because she didn't want to sit still and once she discovered water, it was the only place she wanted to be.
However once the reception started she was happy as a clam, a very tired clam at that.
Brielle clapping, she was excited. Notice her sweater, close toe shoes and leg warmers-it was COLD in Vegas.
Our attempt to sit before the ceremony began.
This is where Matt and Brielle hung out for most of the wedding ceremony.
Bethany was a beautiful Bride. This is her walking down with her Dad, last moment of being single.
Bethany walking down with her husband, Ryan.
I liked the set up for the wedding ceremony so much I asked my Dad to take a few family photos.
Let the party begin. We ate and danced the night away and didn't get home till close to 10!
Brielle enjoyed dancing with her Daddy
She was entertained by coloring for a little bit.
Did I mention she was SUPER tired but remained happy. She just had to keep moving. The dance floor was her favorite spot of the night.
Brielle thought it was SO funny when same hip hop music came on and Bethany busted a move.
So she thought she would join the fun.
The last dance of the night (for us at least).
Brielle was so tired when she first woke up she cuddle with us and fell back to sleep and slept for another couple hours, pushing Matt right off the bed.
My little warn out kid.
While we were waiting for the tram Brielle found some water and was highly entertained.
The new city center is AMAZING!
We went and walked around the Bellagio real quick. We found a little shop that was serving crepes and they looked wonderful, however the line was too long and we didn't want to wait. The Bellagio has some amazing fun things to look at:
Chocolate fountain where they were making the crepes.
There garden area was a specular site to see. It reminded me of the Rose Bowl Parade.
Brielle making Bee noises and the pointing to the bees.
Brielle wasn't too sure of the water feature, especially when some of the water sprayed on her. However the longer we were there the more fond she became.
Some fun water features inside the City Center.
The end of our trip!
